The Full Pink Moon: April 6, 2023

The Full Pink Moon: April 6, 2023, at 10:34 PM MST

Such a beautiful full moon to welcome us into the Spring season! While this moon is called ‘pink’, the color is not what you should expect – the name itself was derived from the Native American name the full moon in April was given. The name itself came from the Phlox Subulate, which is a pink herb moss that normally grows in the North American region and matches up well with the season. This particular moon is also known as the Sucker Moon because it’s the time of year that is best to catch suckerfish when fishing.

This full moon is in Libra, and the energy will provide a feeling that this is a good time for change and new things – but don’t get caught up in the moment of this feeling. It’s time for renewal and new hope within the spiritual energy of the universe. It’s important to still control your emotions and make good-hearted decisions that invite the nice side of Karma. The risk here is breaking down and losing sight of reality, saying what should not be said and losing control.

During this Pink Full Moon, think deeper about your relationships, your business, and your overall purpose in life. As all of the important things rise to the surface for us to acknowledge within our relationships, it’s time to get deep and reflect internally – but don’t forget to be kind to yourself during this deep reflection – self-love is of the upmost importance.
