RLC-0016 — The Ancestor's Steeping Chalice
Handcrafted in Turkey during the 1960s, this elegant porcelain cup is embraced by an ornate bronze holder and accompanied by its matching saucer and decorative cloche lid. Originally crafted as a luxurious tea service, it reflects the exceptional artistry and timeless beauty of mid-century Turkish metalwork.
Today, The Ancestor's Steeping Chalice begins a new chapter upon the altar. It may be used to steep sacred herbs for ritual teas and offerings or kept dry to cradle herbs, resins, crystals, incense, moon water, written petitions, or offerings dedicated to deities and honored ancestors.
The bronze cloche protects whatever rests within, symbolizing both reverence and the sacred unveiling of intention. Whether employed in ceremony or displayed as the centerpiece of an altar, this remarkable vessel transforms ordinary ritual into a timeless act of devotion, remembrance, and quiet communion with those who came before.
